| Description : | 1. Besides nose type headstock, the quill system ensures a good accessibility to the work. VAC motor driver for spindle continuously adjust the spindle rotational speed even during the cutting operation, so that best cutting conditions can be readily obtained. The multi-drive system of one motor/axis for each feed mechanisms permit to obtain the maximum feed efficiency. 2. High Power Spindle: (1) For the spindle driving, a large output 30kw AC motor (30 minute rating) is used. This makes it possible to vary the speed to get the high torque. (2) The large-diameter quill minimizes reduction of the capability due to out stroke and ensures good cutting. (3) For the spindle bearings, super precision, highly rigid tapered roller beatings are employed. These bearings with the ideal structure assure high precision and high rigidity of the spindle with minimized heat generation. The machines are equipped with a cooling device for the lubricant inside the headstock. (4) The 7/24 taper No. 50 is used in the spindle nose. The tools can be automatically mounted or removed quickly without fail by the tool lock/unlock pushbutton switch located in front of the headstock. |
